We use this term to describe the assessment of inside sales skills, a term that is also applied to sales development reps' (SDRs), business development executives (BDEs and BDMs), and telesales people. These terms - SDR, BDE, BDM, and Telesales staff are used for those salespeople who establish the initial contact with potential customers and usually then pass on the task to others in their sales team.
